Use measuring cups where you can scrape across the top to make sure you get the exact amount. Baking is a science, while cooking is an art.

Also, I found that I prefer to use the breadmaker just to knead the dough and let it rise, then bake in a regular pan in the oven. That way,it comes out more bread shaped, and there's no hole in the bottom where the kneader thingy sits.sherijunghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12256955399628922242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4825171977250439280.post-47107591911071483572007-11-06T09:52:00.000-05:002007-11-06T09:52:00.000-05:00nice job on the weekend eating! i totally could n...nice job on the weekend eating! i totally could not have resisted the cake! have fun w/ the breadmaker!! I just mix and knead it with my kitchen aid mixer then do the rest by hand. It's pretty easy to do...but warm bread with butter is EVIL for me. So totally addicting. But it fills the kiddos and rounds out a meal so I just have to stay strong when I bake it! LOL

Sounds like you had a good weekend! You and Scott made some good choices. And you usually go all out on the weekends then are really strict all week...so you are really on top of things this week!!!

Good for you!noellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13587354790255284059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4825171977250439280.post-31162859344084067192007-11-05T14:56:00.000-05:002007-11-05T14:56:00.000-05:00first I'm tagging you also, but you only have to d...first I'm tagging you also, but you only have to do it once. Check my blog.

Second, what a nice weekend? Sounds like you did alright. good job on turning down the cookies. I couldn't have done that. As for bread, I just follow the recipes from the instruction book, did you get one? I've got 1 recipe for 7-grain bread that's pretty good. Hubby loves it, but some of the grains are really hard and I break my teeth on them. I've always found it totally easy, but be careful because the bread is pretty dense and probably high points.Randihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16447302746208359404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4825171977250439280.post-81030724070871424662007-11-05T14:34:00.000-05:002007-11-05T14:34:00.000-05:00Tag you're it!!!! Sprinkle pecans in bottom of well greased 10-inch fluted tube pan; set aside.
In a small bowl stir together granulated sugar and cinnamon. Cut biscuits into quarters. Roll each biscuit piece in the sugar mixture and place in prepared pan, arranging pieces to fill the pan evenly. In a small bowl stir together brown sugar and melted butter; pour over biscuits.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until dark golden brown and top springs back when gently touched. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes.

Invert onto a serving platter. Serve warm.

Serves 10.

i will have my mom email it to me. it is SOOOOOOOOOO good. be careful though you will get addicted. my mom makes all of the christmas goodies: fudge, all types of cookies, jello molds, puddings, she makes it all. its hard to stay away from it. last year i ran on the treadmill for an hour so i could eat the monkey bread. will run for baked goods! haha but yea, let me get you her recipe, she probably tweaked it a bit.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16409602430307800207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4825171977250439280.post-9865792418955591892007-11-05T13:22:00.000-05:002007-11-05T13:22:00.000-05:00Good job this weekend.Tag!
