I'm trying to keep the points a little low during the day to save myself up for a big ol hunk of Birthday Cake! I'm not even sure I'm getting a cake but what's a birthday without cake?!?! Thanks you so much for all of the wonderful birthday wishes! I'm really getting too old to make this BIG a deal out of my birthday but I can't help it! If it were up to me I'd still have parties where everyone dresses up in their best "party dress" and we'd have pizza, play silly little games like hot potato & pin the tail on the donkey, we'd have a great big Beauty and the Beast cake and you'd get a loot bag on the way out. But I guess we all have to grow up sometime....or do we? How is everyone's day going?
I need some new recipe ideas for dinner...anyone have any good ones up their sleeves? I would like ot make some sort of casserole or something this weekend since it is a 4 day weekend! YAY! I'm also looking for recipes to use on the NEW George Foreman. I'm nervous about this weekend (Easter weekend) there are so many dinner's out and activities! Scott and I are pretty much booked all weekend and have about 3 dinner's out. Any advice on how to survive. I've decided I'm going to try to hit the gym a little more frequently to account for those extra calories!

Happy Birthday I hope you have a wonderful day and I did have to laugh about the 0 pts on your birthday cake..haha!
ReplyDeleteI think with any holidays the thing that has helped me the most is have smaller servings..do you really need 3 servings of whatever that you love. So hope that helps.
For recipes try out allrecipes.com, kraftfoods.com they both have some great ones as well as sparkpeople's recipe site.
Good luck I know you can do it and have a fabulous birthday!!
Happy (belated) Birthday, Carolyn! I hope your birthday cake was great. I totally agree about how awesome it would be if we were still "allowed" to have old-school birthday parties with fancy dresses, games, and loot bags! That would be so fun...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Amber, you should check out those recipe sites, I use them both all the time. They have step by step instructions and sometimes have pictures. AllRecipes even has a whole section of Weight Watcher and low-cal recipes.
Also, if you don't have a slow-cooker/crockpot already, I'd suggest getting one. They're not that expensive and you can make huge meals and freeze some for later. Plus, you can dump in random ingredients in the morning, and have a delicious meal waiting for you when you get home, so no waiting to eat. AllRecipes has a whole section of those recipes as well.
Take care,
PSG
Happy Birthday! You deserve a party where everyone dresses up :)
