Now that I got that over with.....
Day 1 was great. I think I really got back to the basics. Drank a massive amount of water, ate tons of fruits and veggies and stopped eating by 8:00pm (something I kind of got away from over the Holidays) I'm excited about being on plan again. It feels like it's almost been a hassle to count points lately especially over the Holidays, but I'm excited again and anxious to follow the plan.Yesterday I also signed up and got measured for the "Get UnStuffed" challenge at my gym. I even had to weigh in. I wasn't suprised because I weighed myself yesterday morning. Although the number at the gym was abour 3 lbs heavier than at home. Time difference I guess. When I weigh in at home, it's first thing in the morning, sans clothes. At the gym if was around supper time and after Id drank about a litre of water (I totally wasn't trying to pull a Neil here). It's a 10 week challenge and you get weighed every week and you have to record your cardio/strength exercise. You get points for each. At the end of 10 weeks you also get measured so I will be anxious to see if I lose any inches.
I also hit up the gym yesterday for 10 mins warm up on the elliptical and then a 45 min Body Sculpt strength training class. I'm not as sore today as I was last Tuesday but I can't figure out if its because my muscles are getting used to being worked or if the class wasn't as hard as last week. I'll keep it up though. Today is Yoga at lunch and cardio after work. Week # 2 of hitting the gym twice in one day!
Christy & Sonya...how you ladies holding up??
Hi Carolyn, welcome to the meeting!!
ReplyDelete*laughs*
That is SOOOOOO awesome that you signed up for that challenge!!! I think you will rock it because you put yourself out there!!!
And yeah, that's why I wouldn't want to go to WW meetings...i would want to go first thing in the morning and strip down for the scale!!!
good job girlie. sounds like you are on the right track.
ReplyDeleteGood work on your first day! Keep it up!
ReplyDeletebody not as sore? Your body totally adapts fast so I bet your muscles are already stronger (plus the moves in general are more familiar). If you muscles hurt during the class and you felt tired then but just don't hurt then you're totally stronger. If the class didn't make you sweat as much and hurt while doing it, then it was easier. Make it harder! Up your weights!
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteMY name is Sonya, and I'm also a food-a-holic and a lazy-ass at times. I too, have been clean for one day.
We can do this, lol!
Great work on getting to the gym last night! I knew you'd do it. You're amazing for going to the gym twice in a day - you go!
My cold was AWFUL yesterday - I went to sleep at 7pm! SO no gym. But, I had an amazing eating day - first time in AGES. So, I'm happy with that.
Keep it up, I'm checking here everyday.:-)
*in unison* Hi Carolyn.
ReplyDeleteI'm Kate, and I'm a carb-o-holic.
Good job being OP, it sounds like you had a great day with exercise and all, just take it one day at a time, and I see success in your future!
Good job at doing day one! I find that day two and three are harder. Hang in. But if I drink tons of water I just feel full and not interested in food so much.
ReplyDeletelol, congrats on being clean for one day :)
ReplyDeletedo you win anything if you lose the most weight as part of the UnStuffed challenge? That name is hilarious for a weight loss program, love it!
Doesn't it feel good?
ReplyDeleteI hear ya sister, I too am a foodaholic, junkoholic. Good job getting through day one though. I think the challenge at your gym is going to be great for you! Good luck.
ReplyDeletethat's why I refuse to get weighed at anytime other than in the morning. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to come back after a break?? Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be back to where you were in no time.
I'm a sugar-holic, 100%.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for joining the gym challenge, I'm sure you'll rock it!
Just checking in to see how yesterday went!!!
ReplyDeleteWell i think that's just great and you are so lucky to have something at your gym you can participate in to keep you going and working hard!
ReplyDeleteI can fluctuate like 5 lbs in a day from morning until night. That's exactly what it was. But it's all relative, so if you do it at the same time when you WI again at the end, it should work out.
Good job girl!
Doing my daily check-in! I hope you had a good day yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI think you are going to do great on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteThat will go down in history with Neil!
Just saw on Christy's blog that you made it to the gym yesterday! Yay!
ReplyDelete"pull a neil" hahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous you're working out so much. I know theres nothing holding me back from doing it, well, except for me. I'm back on track with this WW stuff. I'm actually doing it pretty faithfully....one bad day almost sent me back to my old ways but I didn't allow it. I'll keep following ur blog...hopefully that will keep my motivation up as well.
