Easter swallowed me up!

Well I'm back and I think that is the longest I have gone without posting! I missed it! Hubby and I were just soooo busy this weekend, we didn't stop the whole weekend and I wish that I could report that I did great all weekend but Sunday hit me like a ton of bricks. First of all I had a few drinks Saturday night so that ALWAYS has me craving grease and chocolate the next day. We stayed at a friends house and on Sunday morning we woke up to bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, toast and apple and orange juice. YIKES! So I decided that Sunday was going to be my splurge day and in hindsight....wasn't a good idea AT ALL! I ate a big breakfast and then at supper time, went to hubby's aunt's and had turkey and all the fixings, complete with apple pie. I could have done a lot worse but I am pretty disappointed in my choices this last weekend. SO GLAD Easter is over! I can't even look at another Cadbury Creme Egg or mini eggs....Thank goodness they will be gone for another year!!!
Yesterday I did ok but today I am back at it and back on the wagon! I wish I hadn't of made the choices I did this weekend but I've accepted it, dealt with it and now I am moving on! Today is a new day! It's ok to slip up every once in a while as long as you get back up and give it all you got the next time around. I am going to set a goal for myself as I think it will help me to stay on track (especially during the weekends) This weight loss journey gets so much harder as it gets closer to summer, BBQ's, get togethers etc. So I'm setting a goal to lose 10 lbs by June 26. That is 11 weeks. What do you guys think of this goal? To difficult? Too lenient? On average I have been losing about 3-5 lbs/month but I am hoping to boost that number up a bit through more exercise. Feedback would be great!

  1. You've got to let loose sometimes. If not can get stuck in a lul. Now that you have it should give you more motivation to work toward your goal.

  2. no worries about Easter babes, it happened and the good thing is you are now back on the wagon. I think setting a goal is a great idea, 10lbs is reasonable and if you lose more well then all that much better. I have tried the ww muffins but for 3 points I didn't find it worth it, better to make your own for that amount of points. Where is Calais is that in the US? have a great day :)

  3. 10 lbs in 11 weeks is more than do-able. I KNOW you can do it!! Especially with the extra cardio you'll be getting in with the warmer weather FINALLY here. Setting a goal is a great thing to do. Just put it out there....then it's always in the back of your mind. It's a timeline, and you'll find you push yourself harder when that clock is ticking down. Trust me, the Mexico clock is ticking louder and louder everyday in my ear, and it really makes me stick to my guns. LOL

  4. Holidays are always tough so I think you have a great frame of mind, move on and accept it. Dont beat yourself up about it too hard and do your best this week!

I love some basil pesto that stuff is delicious and how exciting about another trip to get some good stuff! I love those flatout wraps thanks to your recommendation. I still have yet to find those chocolate cupcakes but the carrot cake ones are devine so maybe one day I will find them!

  6. I over ate too, infact the scale had a HUGE gain for me, but I'm moving forward, and it sound like you are too. It's just another small hurdle that we will both over come!! You can do it babe! Don't feel guilty about your splurge.
