I HATE black licorice.......

so why do I LOVE those Licorice Allsorts soo much?? They have been sitting outside my office now for 2 days. 2 huge boxes of them. Taunting me. Begging me to have just one. Why do I have a weakness for those little things? Anyone else have this problem? On top of those, there is also a cheese ball and crackers, chips and dip, and a box of Turtles. Aren't the Holidays over now? Didn't people in my office get the memo?? It's over ladies and gents. No more junk!! Geeeeezzz.

I had one. That's it and I promised myself I wouldn't have anymore.

On other news, I am totally ROCKING the gym this week so far I've been there 4 times since Monday! 4 TIMES!

15 mins cardio
45 Min Body Sculpt Class (Still sore from it!)

50 Min Yoga Class at lunch
then I went BACK to the gym after work! 2 times in one day. This is a huge first!!
10 mins Elliptical and 30 mins Treadmill (Was still pretty sore from Monday's class so I took it a little easy)

45 Min Body Ball class....this was brutal since I was still sore from Monday and Yoga had my abs burning!!

Tonight I'm heading back again for some more cardio. Probably 20 mins elliptical and 20 mins Stairmaster and I might throw in a little treadmill or bike. The gym is SO busy these days. Apparently I heard they had 60 new members sign up so far in January! It's hard to find machines that aren't signed out. So frustrating.

My gym is also holding a little competition that I'm thinking about joining. "Get UnStuffed" Basically it's a 10 week program and you get points for lbs lost, mins of cardio, mins of strength training, inches lost etc. Although I hate the scale and have decided to avoid it at all costs, I think I might join. Since I just started strength training, I'd love to see my progress, especially in the inches lost department. So even though I might not lose a lot of weight, if I lose a few inches, that would be great. I also think it would help me to stay accountable and it would motivate me to drag my butt to the gym. What do you guys think?

Hang in there ladies, it's almost Friday!

  1. You do so great with challenges like that! You should totally do it.

Glad you are rocking the gym. And you know everyone has brought those treats in just so they don't have them at home anymore!!! Who wants to eat someone else's temptations is what those people want to know. Don't give in!

  2. I think a challenge would be a great incentive for you. Plus, it sounds like fun!

You ARE rocking the gym, girl! Those licorice things are not worth all your hard work! Don't eat 'em! ;)

  3. Wow girl! That is some major success at the gym! WTG!!! And what an excellent idea for a competition at the gym! I'd join for sure!

  4. Ohmigoodness!!! I agree, the holidays are over, give it up with the random goodies!!! This better not become a trend!!! (On a side note, my boss ordered 20 lbs of his favorite candy, turned out they were the wrong now they are in our office...jujubes...20 lbs of them...OY!!!)

That is SOOOOOOO awesome with the gym!!!! You should be CRAZY proud of yourself, ESPECIALLY the twice in one day!!

And I say join the challenge, sometimes we need to put ourselves out of our comfort zones to acheive things!!!

  5. Wow - twice in one day! You rock!

And those licorice all sorts are yummers. My mom loves them!

  6. Wow, you're really well with the exercise! Good for you. I still haven't been able to get on the wagon fully yet.

    the competition sounds great!

  7. I think your gym challenge sounds awesome! Go for it! Any accountability you can get will help immensely. You are doing great getting to the gym! Keep up the awesome work! You'll see results before you know it!

  8. Welcome to the twice-in-one-day club! :-D

And regarding the licorice - perhaps this might be an incentive to not eat them. (Googling will come up with tonnes more)

  9. you should totally do it! I'm also doing a challenge at my gym, quite similar, called "I Lost It At The Club".

  10. I wish my gym did something like that. I say totally go for it!! You are kicking ass on the gym girl!! High five! :)

  11. Just a thought, but what about having your own "Get Un-stuffed" challenge. Use the same rules at your GYM, but do it with the same people as the Christmas challenge?

Just an idea. I don't know how much work it would be, but you never know...Would anybody be interested?

  12. What a HUGE NSV on the gym! Congrats!

  13. why do people always bring crap to work!! grr! i had to face down pizza today as my only lunch option. thankfully i passed and ate later on.

good job with your workouts, you are kicking butt! i am trying to slowly but surely get back to my 4 day routine. work has been so busy though. i know, excuses excuses but i'm trying at least :) !!

I'm so green with envy. :D~

    Enjoy your popcorn and movies!

  18. Shoot me an email and well get you all set up with the prize. I don't think there is any issue with the Canada thing.

    Congrats again!

  19. I can't believe you still have goodies at your office - I would be livid!

In any case, you're totally becoming a 'regular' at your gym! Nice work!

  20. Congrats on winning the popcorn contest.
I'm still having a problem with people bringing in their leftover holiday crap. I just imagine everyone's germy hands all over it and it pretty much keeps me away.
